PROF. GARRET MIYAKE
Co-Founder & Scientific Advisor
Prof. Miyake is the co-founder and scientific advisor of New Iridium LLC. Prof. Miyake earned his Ph.D. in 2011 in Chemistry at Colorado State University (CSU). From 2011 to 2014, he worked with Prof. Robert Grubbs as a postdoc at California Institute of Technology. In August 2014, he started his independent research career as an assistant professor at the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department of University of Colorado Boulder. In August 2017, he moved his research group to the Chemistry Department at CSU. Prof. Miyake’s research area includes functional polymer synthesis, small molecule methodology, photonic crystals, additive manufacturing, and photoredox catalysis. The dihydrophenazine and phenoxazine organic PC technology is one of many distinguished inventions developed in the Miyake lab.
