C-S Cross-Coupling

#CS_coupling has been applied in a plethora of organic transformations. Using a #dual_catalysis approach employing #nickel and #IrdFCF3ppy2dtbbpyPF6, C-S cross coupling was achieved. The organic #PhenO_1Naph_Biph PC was shown successful in replacing the Ir PC for the same application. Notably, 10 times less catalyst loading of the organic PC (0.2 mol%) was used compared to the Ir PC in the seminal report. Also, the more challenging aryl bromides were used as opposed to aryl iodides in the earlier report.
